Dr. Beard has taught writing and English as a Second Language at the college level for over ten years. She worked full-time teaching Composition, remedial English, ESL students, and other undergrad English courses most of that time, but in the summer of 2011, cut back to part-time teaching to focus on completing her dissertation and spend time with her new son.

Jeannie graduated in December of 2012 with a PhD in Rhetoric and Composition.

Most recently, Dr. Beard was a faculty member in Kennesaw State University’s Intensive English Program teaching English to people from all over the world. There she developed curriculum for Listening & Speaking, Pronunciation, Vocabulary, and other classes that help students build their English skills.
